How long will my order take to arrive?
If your rug is in stock, it will be dispatched within 10 business days.
For pre-order pieces, estimated delivery timeframes are provided on each product page.
Do you offer international shipping?
We currently ship within Australia.
If you’re based in New Zealand, please get in touch, and we can arrange shipping for you directly.
What happens if items in my cart have different delivery times?
If your order includes items with
different delivery timeframes, they may be shipped separately.
We’ll keep you informed and provide
tracking details for each shipment.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free for all Australian orders. For international shipping, please reach out to hello@solumstudio.com for a quote.
What is your pre-order process?
Our rugs are released in limited quantities and are often available via pre-order.
If a rug is marked as pre-order, the estimated delivery timeframe will be noted on the product page. Once your order is placed, we’ll keep you updated as your rug progresses through production and dispatch.

Where and how are your rugs made?
All Solum rugs are hand-tufted using 100%
New Zealand wool.
They are made by skilled artisans in
GoodWeave-certified facilities in India, ensuring ethical production and
responsible working conditions.
Will my rug fade?
Our rugs are made using high-quality dyes
designed for longevity.
As with all natural materials, some
softening of colour may occur over time, particularly in areas exposed to
direct sunlight. To ensure even wear, we recommend rotating your rug
periodically.
How should I place my rug? What size is best for my space?
Rug placement can shape how a room feels.
As a general guide:
- Living rooms: Front legs of furniture should sit on the rug
- Bedrooms: The rug should extend beyond the sides of the bed
- Dining: Allow enough space for chairs to move comfortably

What is the warranty on the rugs?
All Solum rugs are made with care using
high-quality New Zealand wool.
We offer a 12-month warranty against
manufacturing faults. If you experience any issues, please get in touch and
we’ll work with you to resolve them.
Do Solum rugs shed?
As our rugs are made from natural New Zealand wool, some initial shedding is normal and will reduce over time with regular vacuuming and care.
How will my rug wear over time?
Like all natural wool rugs, subtle changes in appearance can occur over time with use. This may include slight pile flattening, tracking or footprints, and soft variation in tone depending on lighting and viewing angle. These are natural characteristics of handcrafted wool rugs and not considered manufacturing faults.
Orders
Can I view samples in my space at home?
Yes — we offer 20 × 20 cm samples across all designs.
Ordering samples allows you to see the true colour and texture in your own space before making a decision.
Can I customise any rugs?
We don’t currently offer custom colours or designs.
If you’re interested in a custom size, please get in touch, and we can explore options for you.
Will my rug look exactly like the images online?
Because each rug is hand-tufted using natural materials, slight variations in colour, texture, size, and finish may occur. These subtle variations are part of the character and craftsmanship of each piece.

OEKO-TEX® certified dyes
We partner with manufacturers certified by OEKO-TEX® who use OEKO-TEX® certified dyes throughout production. These dyes are independently tested for harmful substances and are safe for use in the home.
